Hey guys! This is a page dedicated to a philosophy that we try and work on every single day. This is something we are really passionate about, and this page is as much for us as it is for anyone else. We are by no way experts in emulating all the characteristics we discuss below.
Building the correct philosophy is a continuing battle because there is always room for improvement.
That’s what we love about it.
The five pillars below are the traits that we believe are central to achieving success in our business. Feel free to use some of these if they apply to you or come up with your own.
Thinking Big
This is the beginning. Dreaming big and setting huge goals will get you out of bed in the morning. The key is having goals that will make a difference and keep you excited long after the problems start /philosophy/head.jpging your way. For us thinking big and setting large expectations lay the groundwork for everything going forward. It’s what everything else revolves around, and nothing is better than chasing your dreams.
Focus
It can be really hard to stay focused with all of the distractions in everyday life. Especially in a foreign country, there is ALWAYS something exciting to go and do. This is why our goals are extremely specific. They have dates, numbers and locations. We have found that it’s pretty much impossible to stay focused day in and day out on just a hope. Even if you REALLY hope it will happens:), it needs to be specific. A specific goal with actual numbers involved is something that you can focus on. Even so, this is something we struggle with constantly.
Discipline
Brings the results. This is something that I have been working on for years. This isn’t a skill that you can just learn or a talent that some people have and some don’t. You must constantly work to develop a high level of discipline. Take a look at any successful person, especially business person. They all have a very high level of discipline and this sets them apart from people. Discipline is the difference between average and great, talented and successful. Discipline to accomplish the important and urgent tasks first. Discipline is the opposite of procrastination. Developing a high level of discipline benefits not only your business, but every other aspect of your life.
Persistence
This is the gas that keeps the entrepreneurial engine going. There is no point in dreaming big if you don’t absolutely believe that you will be successful. When the problems and and setbacks come in waves persistence keeps you going.
